Project 2: Dilapidation Survey
In this project, students were required to choose a building within Malaysia to identify the damaged and affected parts of a building and document thie information appropriately. In a group of 3, we made a report about the shophouses on Jalan Raja Chulan, Kuala Lumpur -Malaysia.
Each of us had to choose a facade of the building respectively and further analyse its possible causes and effects. Throughout this project i have developped an interest in the conservation of old historical buildings.

Project 3: Adaptive Reuse of Old Historical Building
In this project, students were required to choose a building within Malaysia to identify the damaged and affected parts of a building and document thie information appropriately, then propose a use for the old building. A proposal to convert the old shophouse on Jalan Raja Chulan, Kuala Lumpur, in to a modern gym and fitness centre was made. Analysis and and considerations were shown for the surrounding population. A precedent study was conducted on The Alhambra Theatre which has also been converted into a modern fitness centre: Crunch Fitness. Throughout this project i have developped an interest in the conservation of old historical buildings as in adaptive reuse.
