Project: 1 Sketchbook and Journal

 

Project 1 requires students to make 10 sketches of the buildings on the qualities of the building and the spaces within it. Students have the freedom to choose from the broad view of quality of the building or even analyse the detailings.

The sketches were to be equally divided into 5 categories namely: The genuis loci, Poetic quality, cultural attributes and construction details.

The 10 sketches shown shows the same throughout the whole building by looking at the broad side and the details as well.

After this project, students improve their analytical skills in terms of transmitting their idea onto paper in an abstract form. The sketching skills are also improved and students are free to make use of any media.
